Good Girl Hall of Famer # 9: Alicia Warrington, Drummer

Alicia Warrington is a 23 year old drummer, who was born in Saginaw, Michigan.  Alicia says that she knew she was going a musician from the age of four, and started up with the guitar at the age of 10.  She was eleven or twelve once she got started on the drums – which is completely amazing, since at eleven or twelve I was still figuring out how to tie my shoes.  Anyway, she began playing with a band at the age of thirteen, playing covers of Metallica and Alice in Chains.  Soon after, she started a deathmetal band, Dropping the Messiah, then moved on to post punk groups like Fudgepop.  She’s probably been the most famous as the drummer for Kelly Osbourne’s band, but has since left Osbourne’s crew to start All-Girls Boys Choir, and I’ve got to tell you – these girls rock, rock, rock!  There’s a 58 second sneak peak of the band on youtube -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbPOe5aizaA – where Alicia and her girls are just thrashing away, all duded up in their T-shirts and skinny ties and getting jazzed on mochacchinos.  Definitely worth checking out.
